When Green Day First started out, it was just Billie Joe and Mike Dirnt, in a band called "Sweet Children." In 1982, when they were 10, they met in the cafeteria of their school, John Sweet High School. They had sleepovers, and played songs by classic rockers, like Van Halen and Ozzy Osborne. They recruited John Kriftmeyer. (aka Al Sobrante) They then let out their first EP, 100 hours. Then they made "Sweet Children EP" and "Slappy EP."
